Our Story
A legacy
of precision.
Before spreadsheets, before software, before calculators — bookkeepers maintained handwritten folios. Large bound ledger books where every transaction was recorded by hand, every account balanced with precision, and every business's financial story was told page by page.
The folio was sacred. It was the single source of truth for merchants, traders, and business owners dating back centuries. Luca Pacioli, the father of modern accounting, built the entire foundation of double entry bookkeeping around the folio in 1494. Every accounting system used today traces its roots back to those handwritten pages.
"Modern Folio Bookkeeping carries that legacy forward — the same discipline, the same precision, with the tools of today."
We combine the timeless principles of traditional bookkeeping with modern cloud-based software that gives business owners real visibility into their finances. Built by a business owner who got tired of paying too much for unreliable bookkeeping from people who didn't understand the business.
